Chang Kim Ming leads Symantec’s Threat Analyst team in Kuala Lumpur, one of the Symantec teams worldwide responsable for protecting users against today’s malware threats. Chang has more than a decade’s experience on the front lines of the industry as a malware analyst and security response manager. In his spare time, he experiments with perfecting home made soups and brewing a good cup of coffee.
Keynote Title: Starting and Building a Career With Malware Analysis
Chang draws on his working experience both as a line analyst and a manager to shed light on what malware analysis is and what someone interested in the field needs to know. He will also set the stage and context with an overview of the current threat landscape.
Dr. Yau Wei Chuen Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM)

Dr. Yau Wei Chuen is an Associate Professor of Information and Communication Technology at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM). He joined XMUM as a pioneer staff member since 2016. Yau received his BS and MS degrees from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, and his PhD degree from Multimedia University, Malaysia. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and a Professional Technologist (Cyber Security). He also holds GMOB (GIAC Mobile Device Security Analyst) and GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) certifications.
Dr. Wong Lai Kuan Multimedia University Malaysia

Dr. Wong is the Deputy Dean of Research and Innovation at Faculty of Computing and Informatics, Multimedia University, Malaysia. Lai Kuan received her B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computing from the School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS). She was a recipient of the NUS research scholarship. Her research interests include computational photography, automatic artistic creations using interactive graphics and image manipulation, stereo image and video enhancement, 3D visualization and medical imaging.
